1. What is English in Action?
English in Action is an exciting collection of ICT-based learning resources for ESOL (English for speakers of other languages).  Its five titles are mapped to the levels of the Adult ESOL Core Curriculum: Entry 1, Entry 2, Entry 3, Level 1 and Level 2.

2. Why choose English in Action?
English in Action can be used for self-study, classroom work or as the basis of group activity. The first three titles cover everyday situations which learners may encounter. The two latest titles include realistic video scenarios to present work-based themes in authentic settings, enabling learners to practise the language and skills needed for a range of tasks.

3. Who is English in Action for?
Written by experienced ESOL tutors, these materials help learners in a variety of contexts: adult and community education, FE colleges, HE, family-based programmes, the workplace and prisons.

4. How can English in Action be used?
As well as presentations and activities, each module also contains tutor's notes and guidance and printable resources for individual and group activities. These can be used by a teacher as the basis for classwork or homework. Curriculum references are provided at an easily accessible point on the screen. Navigation through both CD-ROMs is intuitive and accessible so that learners can move through the materials with ease.
